Jane Walmsley, Existential Psychotherapist, MBACP (Registered).
Jane is an existential psychotherapist. She works with individuals who seek to think deeply about and address concerns and patterns in living that might have become obstructive.
Jane offers you a quiet space to pause and think about your life: what’s going on for you, what’s working and what might be getting in the way. She will be interested in how you come to be where you are in life and how you live now. Sometimes your conversations will be lively, sometimes quieter, yet always reflective and with an eye on options and possibilities. The confidentiality, regularity and routine of your meetings provide a safe haven for you to think deeply about whatever emerges, to see more clearly and to choose what next.
We sit and talk about life: how it is, how it was, what’s important, how it might be. Between us, we work it out, whatever “it” is.
Jane’s work as a psychotherapist is underpinned by 25 years’ experience of working with individuals and groups in a wide variety of circumstances that give rise to anxiety, stress, conflict, low confidence and inappropriate or self-sabotaging behaviour. She is experienced in working with people who seek to address:
- Childhood sexual abuse
- Difficulties in relationships
- Difficulties with eating
- Performance anxiety
