Elizabeth O’Connor Bandeen holds an unconditional regard for her clients and creates an intimate and caring therapeutic relationship tailored to their personal needs. She works intuitively, helping her clients get to the heart of the matter with compassion and understanding.

Elizabeth trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre.

Elizabeth has extensive experience with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, personality disorders, co-dependancy, addiction, psychosomatic illness, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Her expertise spans childhood neglect; physical, emotional and sexual abuse; as well as other cumulative trauma.

Elizabeth has worked with individuals and groups as a psychotherapist in both the private and public sectors for over 15 years. She held an honorary position with the Trauma Unit at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust where she treated patients suffering from trauma and related symptomology.

Elizabeth studied Mentalisation Based Treatment Therapy at the Anna Freud Centre. Using this technique, Elizabeth helps her clients to connect with their and others’ thoughts and feelings to promote healthier relationship patterns.

Elizabeth is a member of the British Psychoanalytic Council and abides by their codes of ethical standards and confidentiality. She is also a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists.
