Hina Patel, BDS (Hons), PGDip, DipCNM. Nutritional Therapist and Stress Management Coach

Hina qualified as a dentist nearly 30 years ago and worked for many years providing oral care for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Her own life journey led her to study Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and stress management coaching at The Centre for Stress Management. She is a Licensed Cytoplan Brain Health Programme Practitioner

Hina provides a holistic approach to nutritional therapy, stress management and wellbeing.

Hina has a special interest in is supporting brain health.

Our modern lifestyle can take a huge toll on the brain and there is a large increase in brain related conditions. Many mental health conditions such as low mood, anxiety, depression to name a few can be supported by nutritional therapy together with psychotherapy. Cognitive decline as we age has also become an important health concern. Dementia such as Alzheimer’s is the most common age related disease of cognitive decline.  There are steps we can take to minimise our risks and support ourselves to maintain healthy brain function. Poor nutrition and lifestyle play an important part in poor brain health. The brain needs certain nutrients in order to maintain structure and function. Lifestyle factors such as chronic stress can lead to a reduction in mass in certain areas of the brain. Addressing these factors is an important step in supporting not only brain health but our general health as well.

Chronic stress together with nutritional imbalances are so prevalent in today’s society and we are all suffering from the consequences- digestive issues, skin problems, hormonal issues, low mood, anxiety, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, poor immunity and much more are all driven by these factors. Our bodies are complex, our brain, heart, gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidneys etc. do not exist in isolation but are connected and so it is important to look at ourselves holistically.  We are a product of our genetics, environment, diet and lifestyle.

Any nutrition and lifestyle plan, if it is to be successful long term has to address nutrition, stress management and lifestyle factors.

Workshops and Talks

In addition to consultations Hina also provides workshops and talks to groups and organisations on all aspects of well-being taking a holistic approach and encompassing nutrition and lifestyle factors.

Having worked in healthcare this is an area where she can provide valuable advice and strategies on tackling stress during the working but also on improving resilience and long term well-being.
