Project Description
Indu Dua, Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, BACP registered.
I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist deeply committed to helping individuals and couples find meaningful ways to navigate life’s challenges. I have over ten years of experience supportive individuals and families, including two years in private practice. As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for healing and growth.
As a London-based Asian/Indian therapist, I bring cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of identity, belonging, and the stigma that can surround mental health, particularly within South Asian communities. My practice is rooted in empathy and respect for every individual’s lived experience.
Areas I Support With:
- Trauma & Recovery
- Relationship Issues
- Perinatal/Postnatal & Parenting Challenges
- Bereavement & Loss
- Work-Related Stress
Whether you’re dealing with overwhelming emotions, past trauma, or simply looking for a space to explore your thoughts and feelings, I’m here to walk alongside you.
‘Through our sessions I have grown in ways that I never thought possible and I have never felt as mentally strong as I do now. This is down to her generosity, openness, her ability to really hear what you are saying and to ask you the right things. She makes you feel safe whilst also encouraging you to explore difficult questions. Her care and compassion has helped me grow and I would recommend her to anyone wanting to explore therapy’.
How I Work:
My relational approach integrates various therapeutic models, allowing us to work in a way that best suits your unique needs. I draw from trauma-informed practices and attachment-based therapy to help you:
- Understand and heal emotional wounds
- Develop tools for emotional regulation and resilience
- Reconnect with your sense of self
- Explore identity, cultural expectations, and inner conflicts
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, always tailored to your personal goals and pace. Every session is a space where your voice matters—where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Taking the first step into therapy is an act of courage—and a gift to yourself. Whether you’re feeling stuck, in pain, or simply seeking clarity and connection, know that you’re not alone. When you’re ready, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can begin this journey toward healing and self-discovery.
