How I can help
Therapy with me offers a space to speak openly about what you’re going through, and to recognise that the challenges, questions, and uncertainties you’re facing are deeply human experiences that can feel difficult and overwhelming at times. Together, we can explore these with curiosity and care, while developing strategies and tools to support you, helping you find a deeper sense of ease within yourself.
Life can bring painful experiences, such as setbacks, relationship difficulties, or challenges with work or health. At times, we may also find ourselves judging how we respond or cope, adding a further layer of difficulty.
Therapy offers a space to gently step back from that self-judgment and to focus instead on how you can face and respond to what you’re going through with greater understanding and care. Recognising your own inner strength and experiencing a greater sense of possibility in your life.
I focus on building a warm, collaborative relationship where you feel safe enough to express what’s really going on for you. This might include your emotions, relationship patterns, or ways of coping that no longer feel helpful, particularly during times of uncertainty or change.
As an integrative therapist, I can draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to ensure that our work feels most helpful and relevant for you.
With over 18 years of clinical experience, I have supported people who are:
- Navigating anxiety and depression.
- Managing life transitions, including loss or bereavement
- Working with relationship or family challenges
- Exploring sexuality and identity, including LGBTQ+ experiences
- Managing recovery or complex health conditions
- Facing fertility challenges
Support with long-term or complex health conditions
A particular focus of my work is within supporting people living with complex or long-term health conditions. Alongside the practical and emotional challenges this can bring, it can also affect how you experience yourself, your relationships, and your sense of meaning or direction in life.
Together, we can explore ways of managing the anxiety and uncertainty that often come with this. I draw on both existential and CBT-informed approaches, supporting you to express and make sense of your lived experience while also working together to develop the strategies and tools to help you feel steadier in your day-to-day life.
A central part of our work is staying connected to what matters most to you in your healthcare. We can explore how to communicate this in a way that helps you feel heard and understood, both with healthcare professionals and in your personal relationships, so you feel more confident expressing your needs and advocating for yourself.
Client testimonial
… Having someone completely independent and a dedicated time to focus on myself was a godsend. Jacqui made it feel ok to get some extra support. My weekly sessions with Jacqui became an important part of my life giving a time to reflect and offload like I had never done before in a guiltfree way.
