Project Description

Rosalind Carman, Integrative Psychotherapist, Cognitive Behaviour, EMDR, Relationship Counsellor.

I completed my Honours Degree in Psychotherapy in 2012 and established my own private practice as well as working in a variety of London clinics.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is fundamental to achieving a positive outcome in therapy. My approach is collaborative, supportive and often directive, helping clients to make meaningful progress towards greater well-being and promoting positive change in all areas of their lives.

Drawing on both existential psychotherapy and cognitive approaches, I work with clients on both a short-term and long-term basis. I support individuals through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, separation and divorce as well as broader life transitions and personal development.

Before training as a psychotherapist in 2009, I spent several years working in the City within the financial and business sectors. This experience gave me a practical understanding of the pressures and demands often faced by professionals and those navigating complex career challenges. In addition, I am a member of the Wellness Team for a leading City law firm.

I have a professional interest in psychological well-being and the link between mind and body; in essence, how physical health can suffer as a manifestation of possible underlying emotional or psychological causes.

My work encompasses a broad range of complex and varied psychological issues, including life challenges, existential concerns and significant personal transitions. I have extensive experience supporting clients experiencing marital and relationship difficulties, as well as those navigating the emotional and practical challenges of separation and divorce.
