Project Description

My existential approach allows me to meet you where you are, just as you are. What this means is that I aspire to approach therapy with a lens that is both centered on your lived experience and sharply aware of the broader milieu it exists in. I am committed to dismantling challenging dominant narratives in the therapy space, honouring cultural wisdom, and creating a safe space where your identity and living context are valued as integral to the therapeutic process.

My therapeutic orientation is grounded in culturally humble, humanistic values that emphasize authentic, collaborative relationships. I can offer you a contemplative and exploratory space to gain perspective if you are feeling overwhelmed by life and grappling with a lack of clarity and/or grounding. Having moved between very different professional, cultural & geographic worlds myself, I know how disorienting it can be to feel untethered from direction or
purpose, or unsettled, wherever the place. Rather than viewing anxiety, contradictions, emotional depth, and the struggle to belong as things to be fixed, I see
them as opportunities to acquire novel perspectives and unique possibilities for new modes of being.

I strive to foster a feeling of safety to facilitate the expression of difficult emotions, challenging dialogues, and articulation of unspoken stories.

I welcome clients from many different walks of life and from diverse ethnic, geographical, educational, occupational, and socio-economic backgrounds.
My clients are often facing challenges in daily life, in their work, in their relationships, in feeling understood, navigating life transitions, experiencing existential crises, or seeking to have congruence in their lives.

“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” — Soren Kierkegaard
