Ana Castro, Psychological Counsellor (NCS, NS, MSc in Psychology Studies – BPS Accredited, BA (Hons) in Psychology and Management with emphasis on International Business)

My therapeutic style is integrative and holistic, rooted in trust, mutual respect, and deep empathy. I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, as well as directive and psycho-educational methods, always adapting to your unique needs and goals. My focus is on the wholeness of the person, offering the core conditions of therapy—empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard—to support growth and healing.

I work with adults exclusively, providing individual therapy and psychological assessments. My aim is to help you improve emotional wellbeing, increase self-understanding, and build lasting coping strategies. Whether you’re navigating low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or simply struggling to feel like yourself, I’m here to support you in making meaningful change. I also offer an initial consultation so we can explore your goals and determine whether we’re a good fit. Together, we can find a way forward.

Over the past three years, I’ve worked full-time across a range of trusted mental health platforms and in private practice, supporting clients from diverse backgrounds. My work has focused strongly on emotional distress, particularly low self-worth, anxiety, and depression, although I welcome a broad range of issues. My practice is active, relational, and built on dialogue—empowering clients while fostering self-compassion and clarity.

I hold a Master’s degree and am accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), the National Counselling Society (NCS), and The National Hypnotherapy Society (HS). I’m trained in multiple therapy models and also offer hypnotherapy upon request.
